The hotel is nice. The bungalows are not really freestanding bungalows, but rather rooms in one-storey houses. This is a bit misleading, particularly given that in many places you get a real bungalow. The restaurant quality is not outstanding, but there are other eating options nearby if you want to spend more. All in all it's decent value for money and recommendable.

Hotel was in good location. The staff was very nice and helped us a lot. Pool was great. The time we spend in hotel was in low season. so there were not too many people in the hotel at that time, which was pleasent. Room facilities were good and cleaning in rooms were efficient. Room was spacious and air A/C worked as charm. Only negative thing i want to point out is breakfast. There were not enough options to choose from and the later you came on breakfast the less there were to choose from. Over all i was more than happy to the hotel and want to recommend it to all people that visit in krabi!!Thanks again to the staff.

The resort is lovely. The staff were very kind and understanding (the whole two people working there) Ufortunately the restaurant was closed (as was almost every restaurant, bar and mini market on the North of the Island). I knew it was low season, but I hadn't expected that! If the facilities at the resort were going to be unavailable, I wish that this would have been mentioned before I arrived at the island.
Initially the manager told me that I would not be able to cancel the remainder of my reservation, and even if I did not stay for the five remaining days, he would not give me a refund. However, when I was finally able to cancel my reservation through my travel agent and make plans to go back to Krabi, they were accomodating and polite. (Except of course there was a one night's room rate penalty I had to pay).
My bungalow was very spacious and cute. However the bedding was mouldy, which was a big turn off. I have stayed in nicer places in Thailand for the price.
The beach front bungalow is just steps from the ocean, and unfortunately in the low season this also means just steps from the garbage line as the high tide washes a fair amount of trash onto the beach which is not cleaned up. It probably isn't worth the extra cost for the beach front bunglows, there was green netting run infront of all of them except the one I was in that would have blocked the view of the beach anyway. The bungalows that are next to the pool seem like they would be the best choices.
The pool is very small but cute. The Lanta Long Beach resort also seems to be located quite far from any other amenities on the island (shopping or eating) although I have read that Long Beach is supposed to be "the most popular" beach on the island.
If going to Koh Lanta, head towards the south of the island unless you really are looking for a remote getaway.

Everything involved with making a reservation through the website was very easy. When I decided that I wanted to return to Krabi the manager at the hotel told me that he wouldn't allow me to cancel the remainder of my reservation or offer me any refund. However, when I called the travel agent with the reservation company, they were very helpful. Amy called me back twice to make sure everything was taken care of and let me know what they would be able to do.
