If off the beaten track is what you're after, this is the place to go. If I had more time I could quite happily bed down here for a while. The bungalows were excellently laid out, comfy bed, adequate bathroom etc with nice views and interesting access. The food in the restaurant was superb and good value although the staff could have been more friendly and helpful. On arrival I found out there were better deals to be had in quiet but more convenient places but overall a very enjoyable place to kick it for a week.

Reservation Review: |

We enjoyed our stay at Duangjitt Hotel very much. We particularly appreciated the open areas, wide lawns, lovely swimming pools and overall setting. Quality of food served at the restaurant was also very good and buffets superb. Some suggestions-we stayed at Bungalow room, where bathrooms were tacky and in poor shape. Basin was leaking and quality of water was bad as it was yellow. Fittings in bathroom should be improved.

Lovely views and rooms were nice. Great balcony. Pool was out of action. Non-existent room service - no room clean, replacement of toilet paper, emptying of bins etc. Breakfast was boring and tasteless. Pick up by taxi from airport was fantastic, but long tail boat ride was a nightmare (detained by water police etc..) and then tide was out a long way and had to walk over rocks etc which we were not prepared for (please advise prospective guests to wear wet shoes)

Very nice hotel, clean spacious rooms. Lots of insects so you wouldn't want to have a fear of creepy crawlies. There wasn't enough chairs and lounges at the pool. Restaurant was good. Beach wasn't great.

The hotel rooms were small, but in fine condition. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the air conditioning was not turned on before our arrival so the room was boiling hot for about 6 hours. The staff were rude and claimed not to speak English until you were doing something or saying something that interested them then all of a sudden they could speak pretty good English. Don't eat food there if you are hungry as it takes at least an hour to come out. The pool was fine but there was only 6 beds to lie by the pool in and only concrete around the pool so it was pretty uncomfortable.

Reservation Review: |

The "Free House" is a relaxed place with friendly staff. There is a beach side bar / restaurant where they serve tasty food for a fair price. You can also hang around at the bar a have some good drinks. The bungalows are decent and clean. The prices are fair and the place is always worth to consider when coming to Koh Samui. Hint: Go for the bungalows with air con!

We stayed in five different places in Thailand and by far Hansa Resort was our favorite. The staff are great and really friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and there is such a great pool area just to hang around and relax. It is definitely a place we will be going back to on our next visit!

We stayed for a week and found the best thing was the great views of the sunset while being in the gorgeous pool sipping on cocktails. The rooms were clean to begin with but noticed that housekeeping wasn't changing sheets regularly ( just turning them over etc) and the bathroom needed some attention too.Staff were very friendly and English was great at he front desk, but it still didn't translate as clean sheets or bathroom despite several attempts to acquire such things... the food was good and the day spa was great to have onside too- very convenient and generally you didn't really have to leave the resort for anything much. And if you did want to go into town (5mins taxi ride at a set 30baht) the hotel organized this for you- always a taxi driver on stand by outside to take you out-and would pick you up within 5mins of a phone call on most night s except the full moon party night from the town centre's "chicken shop"- very handy indeed- keep your mobile phone close by if you want this service as the phone boothes are often found in the internet cafes which closed at around 11 or midnight. Great food around the corner at a plittle place called "rocky's " who put on a great seafood banquet for a dozen of us- went ot the market specially and it was one of the best meals we had in Thailand all month.

| Ratings: 6/10 for Long Beach Resort, Koh Phangan |
Reservation Review: |

We had a very pleasant stay at Long Beach Resort, but there is a few things that can be improve. There are papers and bottles that was never pick up during the time we were at Long Beach Resort. The floors of the bungalows was not clean, a good wash with soap and water will really help a lot. The floors of the restaurant is also swept and not washed, it would help a lot. The staff was very friendly especially the lady at the desk, she was very helpful. It would help our westerners if you empty the bins in the rooms once a day. If they do some tables at night on the beach it will improve the restaurant, like the other resorts, we enjoy eating on the beach. The bedding was clean but very old, and so was the curtains. Your resort haver lots of potential and if you give it only a bit of loving care it could be one of the best resorts on Koh Phangan. Clean the beach in front of your resort. The fishing trips was excellent and the crew was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful resort, very good breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. A little off the beaten track which was exactly what we were looking for. Right on the beach with a pool and hammocks and plenty of spa treatments to indulge in. A real taste of Thailand with generous hospitality.

Understated but idyllic boutique hotel in a very pleasant part of central Bangkok, 5 minute from Ari station. Imagine if Frida Kahlo had designed a hotel in Ibiza and that's what Reflection Rooms is like. Chilled atmosphere, helpful staff, beautiful pool/bar/restaurant that will keep your attention from 6pm - midnight. The rooms are all different and for this reason you feel you discovered a real gem - keep it out of L Planet please.

Hotel is fantastic and ideal place to relax. Staff are very friendly and helpful through days and nights. Hotel facilities are excellent. However only one restaurant in a resort at this class do not give enough choice for dinning. Bars closure at 8:00 pm is somehow strange and leaves you with the only choice of going to town for couple of evening drinks. But generally we were a group of 12 people and had wonderful time there.

Hotel location is good. Right in the centre of the garment wholesale area. Only hitch is the room. The room is spacious however the furnishing is really old and smelly. It has some kind of a misty odor. Probably the carpet. I wish they remove the carpet and leave the floor bare with natural tile. I have to buy a couple of air refresher to get rid of the smelly odor. It didn't work. After a long hard day from tour and shopping I drag myself to go back to the room. I would not recommend this hotel not unless they refurbish the room and get rid of the old carpet. The breakfast was good except it get bored if they serve the same menu everyday. We found a Muslim restaurant near the hotel. This is really convenient if you a are a Muslim. Other than that the hotel service is good and the employee are helpful.
