Hotel was in good location. The staff was very nice and helped us a lot. Pool was great. The time we spend in hotel was in low season. so there were not too many people in the hotel at that time, which was pleasent. Room facilities were good and cleaning in rooms were efficient. Room was spacious and air A/C worked as charm. Only negative thing i want to point out is breakfast. There were not enough options to choose from and the later you came on breakfast the less there were to choose from. Over all i was more than happy to the hotel and want to recommend it to all people that visit in krabi!!Thanks again to the staff.

The hotel has a good and central location, with shopping area within walking distance. Further the skytrain is just outside the Hotel. The standard rooms has an low standard for the area and price (Better room standard at same price are available on other Hotels in the same area). Further the bath suffered for pure hot water supply, perhaps due to reconstratuction.

Very nice hotel, with good service.
staff very friendly, in particular with children.
Rooms are well furnished and tastefully.
Technically some improvements necessary;
it was always necassary to push staff to fix
broken items (AC, showers, TV...)

The resort is lovely. The staff were very kind and understanding (the whole two people working there) Ufortunately the restaurant was closed (as was almost every restaurant, bar and mini market on the North of the Island). I knew it was low season, but I hadn't expected that! If the facilities at the resort were going to be unavailable, I wish that this would have been mentioned before I arrived at the island.
Initially the manager told me that I would not be able to cancel the remainder of my reservation, and even if I did not stay for the five remaining days, he would not give me a refund. However, when I was finally able to cancel my reservation through my travel agent and make plans to go back to Krabi, they were accomodating and polite. (Except of course there was a one night's room rate penalty I had to pay).
My bungalow was very spacious and cute. However the bedding was mouldy, which was a big turn off. I have stayed in nicer places in Thailand for the price.
The beach front bungalow is just steps from the ocean, and unfortunately in the low season this also means just steps from the garbage line as the high tide washes a fair amount of trash onto the beach which is not cleaned up. It probably isn't worth the extra cost for the beach front bunglows, there was green netting run infront of all of them except the one I was in that would have blocked the view of the beach anyway. The bungalows that are next to the pool seem like they would be the best choices.
The pool is very small but cute. The Lanta Long Beach resort also seems to be located quite far from any other amenities on the island (shopping or eating) although I have read that Long Beach is supposed to be "the most popular" beach on the island.
If going to Koh Lanta, head towards the south of the island unless you really are looking for a remote getaway.

Everything involved with making a reservation through the website was very easy. When I decided that I wanted to return to Krabi the manager at the hotel told me that he wouldn't allow me to cancel the remainder of my reservation or offer me any refund. However, when I called the travel agent with the reservation company, they were very helpful. Amy called me back twice to make sure everything was taken care of and let me know what they would be able to do.

The resort was beautiful and relaxing. The staff were wonderful and helpful. There were restaurants in walking distance - I would reccommend Nira's Bakery and The Orchid House. We went to the full moon party and we just hopped on a taxi for about 50 Bhat each (1.10 USD). The taxi ride was a little scary because Koh Panagan is mountianous. The only thing my husband and I disliked about the resort was the beach. The beach was beautiful, but it wasn't accessible, it was accessible at night because of high tide, but not during the day. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would highly reccommend it to anyone that wants to relax and enjoy the hammock. The people sounded confused about my reservation, but I just showed them my confirmation page and they seemed to work it out fine.

Dear Ms/Sir, I must say that I am really impressed with the way you work. First was the quick and effective reservation and now this. We greatly enjoyed staying at Aloha Resort and although it was a very unusual way of choosing without any recommendation, it proved to be a very good choice. The resort is beautiful and located on a very fine beach. We especially liked the welcome when we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful. Still as you ask I will make some suggestions : Having a hair dryer in every room is quite standard at this level of resort and it was strange not to have one. A safe in the room is also a welcome addition. One more suggestion comes from our very unpleasant experience with Bangkok Airways as we had to wait at the airport for 5 hours for a delayed flight to Bangkok (there was also a flight delayed for 8 hours on the same day ). Since flight reconfirmation is not done anymore by most airlines it could be a nice and helpful service to your guests if the hotel could do this for them.
Best regards,

I took the airport bus just outside the airport terminal. It costs only 100Baht. Showed the map and location of Samran Place hotel to the bus operator. Took the route A2 and bus dropped me right in front of Samran Place Hotel (bus stop in front). The hotel is accessible to Ratchatewi BTS, a Mosque, 7eleven and of course, Shopping!! Mamboongkrong, Siam Square and many! The room is big and clean, and my room is facing the busy road of Penchaburi Road. So there is some level of traffic noise there, but if you are too sleepy you will just not bother. Many Singaporean, Malaysian, American & European stays at Samran. The staffs are friendly and helpful. I will definitely return back to Samran Place in the future.

Reservation is fast, however do not provide airport transfer. But it's ok, one can always take the airport bus. It has space to out your luggage. Samran Hotel could just inform guest about the airport bus so that guests do not have to worry about airport pick-up.

The addition of variety at breakfast was an excellant choice. Over the phone for a returning guest to be quoted $2600.00 as opposed to room rate rate of the previous visit was not too good .It actually forced me to stay somewhere else and book only 2 nights on the net.The hotel does not appear to have any loyalty to guests such as myself who have stayed there for the last three years.Repeat business should have some considerations.

This is a lovely small resort with extremely friendly staff. Location is good, weather was good, beach is good, facilities are good, excellent tea and coffee at breakfast.
This was my third time to Lamai so I knew what to expect. The resort was pretty much full, there was the usual dramas with getting a sun lounger and I was little surprised by the number of childen at the resort. I normally choose small boutique resorts so as not to encounter the large family holiday.
A couple of small issues, if you have a cockroach phoebia then perhaps try somewhere else as I killed a number of them (5) in my garden villa bathroom during my 8 night stay.
The Resort Manager is also a waste of space as he was not able to arrange a simple airport transfer keeping us waiting for about 40 minutes after we were meant to leave. He also struggled to sort out my room account and I am still waiting for a copy of the final account.

Privacy exists in this nice hotel... family-oriented in a quiet place. Have a nice large swimming pool next to the beach. Beach is not crowded and have privacy which does no need to go across the road like in Pattaya and jomtien. Should separate the buildings or rows of the rooms such as left rows of rooms are for smoking while right rows rooms are non-smoking. should not mix or adjoining to each other. Need to improve service in breakfast time. some food items were not available who show up after 08:00. Torn Bath rooms towels should not be provided to the guests and need to replace with a new ones.

The hotel is very nice, we stayed there only two night and it was not enuogh, the room are very nice and the service is good, breakfast was good and we had dinner at the hotel and it was good as well, the hotel is a bit remote from Chaweng center which requiers to take a taxi to the center.
When we left the hotel we were asked to pay 1300 baht for 13 tall free calls we made, the cost of 100 baht for tall free call that are made from the room look to us very high.
When we asked why? the reception manager yeled at us and was very rude, he said that this is the hotel policy, he did not show any flexibility or a will to try and understand our position.
We left the hotel with bad taste in our mouth.

This hotel is really in the middle of nowhere. You need to take either a boat or 'taxi' to go anywhere, one way at least half an hour. I stayed for 4 days 3 nights, no housekeeping. I don't know what's in the bed but I still feel itchy even one week after left the place.

stayed in this hotel recently during the full moon party and was very impressed! It was very good value for money and a nice clean safe place to stay! The restaurant was good and staff friendly! the cusions to lay down on and watch a film when you were tired were the best way to chill out and relax! The only thing that wasnt great was the size of the room was quite small for 3 of us but we managed and they need to make more space around the pool area!
Except for that fantastic hotel and will definitly make sure i go back and visit agian in the near future!

We stayed at the Panviman Koh Chang for 5 nights in June and it was a truly wonderful experience. The rooms are spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is just amazing with a mini waterfall in the bathtub.
The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you.
The surroundings are beautiful and we found that this part of Klong Prao beach is by far the nicest. We walked along to where the Tropicana and the Amari are and we were not too impressed with that end.
The beach at the Panviman Resort is really lovely with no stones and just soft sand under your feet when you go for a swim in the sea.
It is also a lovely location to watch the sunset.
The restaurant was just ok but of course you dont have to eat here. There are are couple of nice places along the beach if you leave the hotel at the beach side and turn left. It is quite difficult to leave the hotel at the road end as there is a long dirt track up to the main road however if you want to go for a night out they will taxi you there and offer you a lift back or you can catch a local taxi back so its really no problem.
Overall I would give the Panviman 10 out of 10 for quality, cleanliness and as far as luxury goes it is probably one of the best on Koh Chang.
